Over the past two decades, Four Winds’ naturalist-educators have offered scores of professional development workshops for teachers. Our goal is to connect teachers to the local resources they need to help their students engage in science exploration and to connect with nature and with community.
Inquiry and Wonder in Place and Time: place-based science professional development for teachers of preK-Grade 3. August 3, 4, and 6, 2026.
This series of professional development days is designed for educators who are interested in having their students engage with place-based practices. Educators could be just beginning to explore outdoor science practices with their students or wanting new ideas to supplement their current nature-based teaching. 15 contact hours with a possible graduate credit option.
