Climate Connections Environmental Education Curriculum from NH Healthy Climate, and More…
NH Healthy Climate, an organization of healthcare workers concerned about the effects of climate change on health, has recently launched its Climate Connections K-5 curriculum. These experiential lessons draw connections between our climate and our health and may be offered alone or implemented as a series. The lessons are available for download from NH Healthy Climate’s Climate Connections page for educator use. NH Healthy Climate also provides teaching support through a partnership with Dartmouth Geisel School of Medicine in which student instructors will teach or co-teach the lessons at your location, depending on availability.
NH Healthy Climate recently implemented a Climate Connections and Cafe program with Sunset Hill Education Institute (SHEI), an NHEE member organization. During this Sunday afternoon program, Dartmouth student instructors facilitated kids through Climate Connections activities, while adults convened in a Climate Cafe. NH Healthy Climate is happy to discuss similar programs with NHEE member organizations.
In addition to the above activities, NH Healthy Climate hosts a vibrant monthly webinar series open to the public which we invite NHEE members to join, and sends speakers to events. Please sign up for the NH Healthy Climate email list to receive updates and reach out to info@nhclimatehealth.org with questions.
