Why This Camp Matters

This program has a dedicated group of families and children who deeply value its hands-on, nature-rich learning. Concord Parks & Recreation is committed to keeping it running and will support the instructor with staffing, logistics, facilities, and transportation.

This is an excellent opportunity to:

  • Shape and grow an existing camp community

  • Lead creative outdoor learning in an urban park setting

  • Bring your naturalist skills, environmental education background, or camp leadership experience to life

  • Potentially collaborate or share weeks with another educator

The outgoing instructor may also be available to run two weeks of Camp Wild and is happy to provide planning support for anyone stepping into the role.

Who We’re Looking For

  • Environmental educators, naturalists, camp leaders, classroom teachers, outdoor educators, or graduate students in related fields

  • Someone who enjoys working with children and spending days outdoors

  • A creative, organized, flexible, and energetic leader

  • Individuals OR pairs/teams interested in splitting the 8-week commitment are welcome

  • Must be comfortable planning and leading outdoor activities, field trips, and nature-based exploration
