Exploring Nature with Young Children: A Workshop for Pre-K–2nd Grade Teachers

Join Harris Center teacher-naturalists Janet Altobello, Jenna Spear, and Jaime Hutchinson for an inspiring workshop that will energize and prepare you for outdoor spring teaching.
- Discover imaginative play that invites young children to deepen their connections to the animals in their world.
- Learn how to create a story cloth that will prepare your students for focused outdoor exploration.
- Experience the delight of playing games that will help sharpen your student’s senses as they witness the arrival of spring.
- Leave with materials to use right away to help bring fresh-air joy to morning meeting, explore nearby nature, and expand vocabulary.
- Enjoy time with nature-focused peers, sharing resources and ideas for exploring nature with young children.
