Women's History: National Parks to Your Classroom

August 7 & 8, 2024
9am - 4pm

Explore the breadth of women’s history preserved at the national parks of New Hampshire and Vermont and the ways these often-overlooked stories can be applied across disciplines, topics, and age-levels. Day 1 of the workshop is held at Saint-Gaudens National Historical Park in Cornish, NH where participants will explore both female representation in the sculpture of Augustus Saint-Gaudens and the women who made the work possible. Day 2 at Marsh-Billings-Rockefeller National Historical Park in Woodstock, VT connects women’s history to art, science, and nature at the park dedicated to the history of land conservation.

This free workshop is open to all educators including classroom teachers, art educators, and librarians. A stipend of $100 is available after participating in both days of the workshop.
