Summer Forestry Technician

Founded in 1901, the Society for the Protection of New Hampshire Forests (The Forest Society) is one of the nation’s oldest, largest, and most successful state-based land conservation and forestry organizations. A full-time staff of 40 administers programs in land protection, conservation education, environmental advocacy, and sustainable forest resource management. Reservation Stewardship staff currently oversees the management of 195 properties totaling over 60,000 acres, located in 105 NH communities.

The Forest Society is currently seeking two full-time, temporary, 12-week summer forestry technicians. This position provides field support for the Forest Society’s Forestry department during the busy summer field season. Work is primarily outdoors, and includes regular monitoring and stewardship tasks on Forest Society reservations. This position works both independently on field assignments, as well as on group tasks with Forest Society staff and volunteers.
