Funded Upper Valley Clean Transportation Education Opportunity

FUNDED UPPER VALLEY CLEAN TRANSPORTATION CLASSROOM EDUCATION OPPORTUNITY FOR STEM EDUCATORS AND SCHOOL ENVIRONMENTAL/SUSTAINABILITY CLUBS
Green Driving America is a 501c3 nonprofit organization that advocates for and educates on clean transportation and transportation efficiency in the school community. Thanks to funding by a Grafton County foundation (that wishes to remain anonymous), we are offering two funded, no-cost projects for Upper Valley middle and high schools from now until the end of the fall 2023 semester:
1. The Clean Transportation Path project
For high schools, featuring 45-minute to one hour+ guest-speaking presentations given virtually by trained college level interns showing students the cost savings / CO2 emissions and fossil fuel use reductions / improved air quality benefits of low- to zero-emission vehicles. Also covered are alternatives to driving, including public transportation, bicycling, walking, and ride sharing/car pooling.
2. Schools Are Not Drive-Thrus! project
For middle schools and high schools, featuring student-led idle-free schools campaigns (two available). Six to eight week campaign addresses the issue of prolonged, largely unnecessary idling that typically occurs during the school dismissal period.
