May 16, 2023 Workshop Combining Art, Science and Writing!
Location: Squam Lakes Natural Science Center, Holderness, NH

Time: 4-6pm
Cost: NHEE Members $25; Non-Members $35
During this workshop you will learn how to create a foam print and watercolor. Suzan will demonstrate how to make this lesson appropriate for children in grades K-8 and beyond. Choose your own NH animal to use as the theme for this activity. Then write a Haiku, free verse or rhyming poem about your chosen animal. This is also an opportunity to network with fellow educators.
About the Presenter: Suzan Gannett is a retired educator of 31 years. She was Director of Curriculum for the Winnisquam School District. She is a children's author and illustrator. Currently a member and President of Artistic Roots in Plymouth, NH.
Registration closes May 12th and we need a minimum of 5 registrants to run this workshop. If we are unable to meet this minimum, those registered will be contacted on May 13th and receive a full refund. Registration includes all supplies and admission to the Live Animal Exhibit Trail. Arrive by 3:00 PM if you plan to explore the trail.
