DESCRIPTION:HHMI BioInteractive is offering a free, full-day professional development workshop for high school biology and environmental science teachers throughout New England.\nFrom Sunlight to ATP: Modeling Energy Flow with HHMI BioInteractive\nWhere does the energy in a sugar molecule come from, and where does it go when a cell uses it? In this hands-on workshop, educators will explore photosynthesis and cellular respiration while developing a coherent, standards-aligned approach to teaching energy transformations.\nParticipants will use free HHMI BioInteractive resources to build models, work with data, address common misconceptions such as “energy is made,” and incorporate literacy strategies that help students read, talk, and write about energy using scientific language.
